Monday DK PBB discuss the application, Palestine

Council of the United Nations Security (UNSC) will meet on Monday (09/26/2011) afternoon to discuss the Palestinian demand to recognize the country as a full member of the United Nations. President of the Security Council deliver it on Friday.

Lebanon's UN ambassador, Nawaf Salam, told reporters that he had submitted a letter to the Palestinian demand that the other 14 members of the Security Council after you have received from the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon. "I had circulated the letter and I have requested a meeting of the UN Security Council members to consult on the matter on Monday, at 15.00 local time (Wednesday at 02.00 GMT)," said Salam.

The problem now will probably take weeks of talks with the United States, which has threatened to carry out its veto if the problem persists to a vote.

To pass the Palestinians, to support 9 of the 15-member Council. Six members of the Board have given their support to the Palestinians, namely China, Brazil, India, Lebanon, Russia, and South Africa. Other members who have not expressed their support include Bosnia, Britain, France, Germany, Gabon, Nigeria and Portugal. Colombia has said that they would abstain.
